Technology and Software.

All our workstations at InfoDraft Australia are equipped with the latest version of StruCad and are backed up by AceCad’s reliable support team. These workstations are fully networked to a dedicated server both setup and maintained by an experienced team of I.T. professionals to ensure a trouble free operation.

The Drafting Process.

From the initial design documentation, both structural and architectural, the whole steel structure will be constructed piece by piece using StruCad. Each piece of steel and its connection will be modeled up three dimensionally to ensure for accuracy and compliance in structural integrity, architectural requirement and ease of steel erection onsite. Throughout the drafting process, we are able to scrutinize the whole steel structure from any desired angle to ensure for such things as no physical clashes of steelwork or that bolt access have been taken into consideration for erecting steelwork.

Once the steel structure has been fully modeled up – as a standard, a series of pre printing checks are then carried out. All shop drawings will then be automatically generated and General Arrangement plans will be produced to guide the erection of the steelwork. A material list is then produced for all the steel members including all fixing hardware (bolts) for procurement purposes.
